Owner and creative director Johanna Siu, who traded medical school for floral school and bought Celsia with her husband in 2008, explains the studio through the Korean idea of son mat, the &#8220;taste of the hand&#8221;: whoever is at the bench leaves a signature, and two designers handed the same flowers will not build the same arrangement.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Delivery_and_urgency\"><\/span>Delivery and urgency<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>On timing this is one of the more clearly documented shops in the city, which matters when you are ordering in a panic. Same-day delivery runs Monday to Saturday for orders placed before 1 pm; on Sunday the cutoff moves earlier, to 11 am \u2014 the trap for anyone who assumes the weekend behaves like the week. Same-day pickup needs the order in before 3 pm.<\/p>\n<p>The van does not stop at the city limits: Richmond, Burnaby, New Westminster, the North Shore, Coquitlam, Surrey and Delta are all on the list, seven days a week. Beyond that the shop publishes no supplier list. The plant range is unusually deep for a florist, and there are dried arrangements for people who want something that outlasts the week, plus gift boxes and gift cards for when you genuinely cannot choose on someone else&#8217;s behalf.
